Siesta TIme [Open] Empty
PostSubject: Siesta TIme [Open]   Siesta TIme [Open] Icon_minitimeFri Dec 17, 2010 3:15 pm

Lovino sighed as he layed down next to a tree, covering his eyes with his arm. Damn it all if his classes just had to all be at the same time as his usual mid-day siesta. This would leave him cranky afterwards until he'd be able to find a quiet and spot and take a nap. Today for once was his day off though so when it came time for his siesta, he had naturally gravitated to the school grounds and found the biggest tree to sleep by. This wasn't his first time here either, being attuned to nature meant that one of the first things he had done when he had arrived at the school was to find the trees and other plants. He did it so he could know if there were any trees that'd be willing to give him some of their leaves or bark for him to make into thread. Plus, it was always good to be on positive terms with the surrounding nature so if he ever had to run and hide for some reason, they would help hide him.

Taking his arm off his eyes and closing them, he thought about his life here so far. He really didn't realize teaching those brats would be so tiring... First he had to write those stupid lesson placs and then he had to actually teach. Part of him almost wished he hadn't come here, but then he would remember that it was still better than back home so he might as well tough it out. It'd probably it get better, hopefully. Grumbling to himself, Lovino slowly fell asleep until finally he was fully relaxed and dozing beneath the tree in the empty courtyard.

Heracles smiled, walking through the grounds to find somewhere to relax and do his work. Yes, he could do it inside, but it was nice out and he liked being outside. It was warm and sunny and...relaxing, to be out here. He liked it much better than he did being inside. He knew that, logically, he should be inside for his students to find him and ask questions of, but he had spent the entire morning dealing with them. So...they could go to the library if they had questions; he was spending his free period out here.

He came across a huge tree, with someone sleeping at the base of it. He looked at the person, frowning lightly. His first thought, upon seeing their face, was that they were pretty cute; his next was that they were probably a man, because otherwise they were a manly looking woman. Which they could have been, for all he knew. Looking up at the tree, he debated climbing up it before deciding that he didn't have time to deal with the slow and fearful climb down, and so he sat against the tree a bit away from the person and began to grade his student's work.

While asleep Lovino often dreamt of many things. Many of them included some of his favorite things: tomatoes and beautiful women. And occasionally, to his mortification if anyone were ever to find out, a handsome man would grace his dreams. These particular dreams were always the ones that left him waking up in the middle of the night. He wished that he could banish those dreams forever, but sadly his subconscious occasionally had other ideas. On this particular occasion though, his dreams were much more ordinary and yet much stranger still.

He dreamt that he was back in Rome in his old house. Laying on his weathered couch, he worked on one of his clothing pieces. As he was working he could hear the sound of footsteps coming from behind him. Step... step... step... Soon the steps were echoing throughout the house, the sounds ringing in his ears. The steps kept getting louder and louder, closer and closer. He put down what he was working on and straightened up in his seat, heart beating rapidly. As the steps got nearer, his heart beat faster, the pattern repating itself until his heart felt like it could burst. Until finally, he felt the footsteps stop. He could hear the movement of an arm about to touch his shoulder, but felt immobilized in his spot. The arm kept moving forward when, just as it was about to touch him, with a flash of white light he shot up from where he had been laying on the grass sleeping.

Panting heavily and eyes wide open, Lovino put his hand on his chest, trying to calm himself down and wondering what the hell was wrong with him lately. In his distraction, he completely missed the other presence.

((OOC: Bah, writer's block -kicks it away-))

And he has discovered why it is a bad idea to grade papers when sitting outside in the sun. He was being tempted to just relax and drift off in the warmth...Heracles yawned, leaning back against the tree and looking over what he had graded so far. The amazing total of...half a paper. His excuse for the lack of results was that he didn't like incorrect grammar, and this paper was filled with it. And why did a science teacher assign papers? Because he was lazy, that's why. The students spent a week or two working on something Heracles could grade in an hour.

He blinked and looked over as the girly man suddenly sat up, looking wide-eyed and scared. Heracles stared at him, moving away ever so slightly. Whatever he had been dreaming off couldn't be good, and having a strange man sitting next to him after just waking up was bound to scare him even more than he already was. Heracles didn't feel like dealing with that. But he also didn't feel like moving, so he was going to stay where he was and not say anything.

As he sat himself up, his heart still racing and panting heavily, he wondered why he had dreamt that dream, no, nightmare yet again. This was the third time he'd had that nightmare since he had arrived on campus and frankly, it was starting to freak him out a little. But he couldn't let it get to him damn it. He forced himself to calm down, taking deep breaths. It was at times like these that he was actually thankful for the breathing exercises he'd been forced to learn in an effort to keep him less angry. Not like he ever really used it unless he absolutely had to though. Grudgingly though, he admitted to himself that it probably was a good thing that he'd learned those techniques, not that he'd ever admit it or God forbid thank them for it.

Finally though, he settled himself down with his breathing returning to nromal and his heart rate slowed. Deciding that it wasn't likely he was gonna get anymore sleep he stretched his back and arms upwards to the sky before finally looking around him and noticing the other person there. Immediately, his body language became more withdrawn, with him crossing his arms and a scowl returning to his face. God damn it what if they had seen him when he was having that nightmare? Worse, what if they told everyone else about it and his reputation as a tough italian was ruined? He was not going to let that happen on his watch.

Narrowing his eyes, Lovino turned to the other person and questioned him angrily, "What are you looking at huh?!"

Heracles watched the person slowly start to calm down, marveling at how...pretty, they looked. Heracles didn't put any stock into appearances -the most beautiful of women were normally the most shallow as well- but this person was remarkably pretty for a man. It was definitely odd. He blinked as the person's entire body language changed from relaxed to stiff, and he looked up into the other's eyes, tilting his head slightly. "You." Which should be obvious and all that because what else would Heracles be looking at?

Lovino bristled at the blunt statement, a little thrown by how straight-forward the other was. Angrily he yelled, "And why are you doing that huh?!" He of course knew why the other was looking at him. He'd been having another fucking nightmare that's why. But he wouldn't admit that to himself, let alone this strange man. Glaring at the other, he let himself take in the man before him. The brunette looked a bit older than him so most likely he was a fellow teacher that he just hadn't met yet. Goodness knows how, most of them were so... chatty. He'd glare at them, but for some reason there seemed to be a stupid-gene shared by most of the staff at this school. None of them were scared of him, damnit!

Still, maybe he'd give this other teacher a chance. So far he didn't seem too stupid. And besides the blunt comments he wasn't that annoying... Just bad timing more than anything. However he'd wait and see. He'd been wrong before and so far most of the other teachers hadn't really impressed him so he wouldn't expect this one to either. And if he heard one more comment on how "pretty" or "feminine" he looked, he'd punch someone in the face. He didn't even care anymore if he'd get fired anymore, he was getting fucking tired of it. But either way, he'd just have to wait and see. They better answer quickly though, cause he was still tired and impatient.

Heracles shrugged. "I see nothing else of interest around us, and you were having a dream or nightmare of sorts." He gave the man a small smile before looking down at his work and finishing of the paper he had been on, putting it away into his finished folder. Was it wise to ignore the angry man? Probably not, but Heracles wasn't concerned with that. He might as well get work down while he could. And if the other had a problem with it...too bad. "So, what's your name?" He wondered, looking at the other through his bangs. Getting his name would be the smart thing to do.
